Kiss of the Spiderwoman - Feature Film starring Jennifer Lopez / Directed by Bill Condon

Art Director

Director Bill Condon reimagined the 1976 Tony Award winning Broadway musical with a starring role that "was made for Jennifer Lopez to play" as 1940's starlet Ingrid Luna.

The actress sings, dances and acts, capturing the heart of Luis Molina, a gay window dresser, who shares a cell with Valentin, a political prisoner in Central America.

The film toggles between the grim reality of the prisoner's lives in Central America, and the glamour of Ingrid's dazzlingly bold musical numbers. The high stakes drama of two men in a dangerous and hostile environment and the escapist fantasy of the glory days of the cinematic period musical combine for a glittering and moving drama.
